3D Modeling Technology

3D landscape modeling ranges seamlessly from the small object scale to the vaster territorial scale. The challenge is to integrate these tools at the core of a project through topography, optimisations of site conditions & resolving project constraints. Ten years of research & development applied to our projects enforces our expertise in adapting our modeling tools to multi-disciplinary teams & the tasks at hand. Using a new GIS based approach, we optimize complex topological design through advanced modelling and visualization techniques. Working hand in hand at a territorial scale with engineers on design development, detailing and communication. The use of 3D modeling tools and GIS technology as a base, allows our office to produce precise informed representations of our landscape projects, both in still and moving image formats. Each of these tools facilitate the understanding of complex dynamics in the landscape over time, allowing for a broad range of variants to be developed. Atelier Girot also collaborates with the LVMLab, ETH Zurich for particular project needs.
