The competition team Atelier Girot and the architects Hubert &#038; Roy proposed a design that handled the large elevation difference between street and school-yard level to the students\u2019 advantage. The landscaped slopes become sitting areas among exotic trees and an extensive hedge of hibiscus. The street level entrance courtyard offers a semi private piazza. Standing benches separate the students from the street and provide a leaning structure. Vertical gardens flank the classrooms with wisteria creating a green facade.
